Welcome to the first official post for Modern Vintage Antiquing!  Ashley and I have been working hard to bring you an awesome site with all the up to date information you need for antiquing in beautiful Northwest Arkansas. 

If you haven't yet, check out the "Where to Shop" and "Auctions & Events" tabs.  The "Where to Shop" tab is a comprehensive directory of great shops in NWA that have been categorized by the type of items they sell.  For instance, if you are looking for a chalk painted coffee table, you will want to look in the Shabby Chic category.  If you are looking for depression glass, take a look at the shops listed under Fleatique.  Or, if you are looking for mismatched glass ware for a Pinterst project, check out the True Thrift section.  Each store has been recently visited and categorized so that you can go straight to the type of store for the items you want!  I'm currently working on another 30+ shops that need to be visited, then they too can be added to the categories.

The "Auctions and Events" tab is also complete, for now!  I will be updating this tab weekly with the upcoming events and auctions, pertaining to the blog.  Soon I'll be doing a blog post on attending auctions.  I know lots of people who are interested, but have never gone, and seem to be a little intimidated by them.  I'll show you the ropes and you'll be a seasoned auction goer in no time!

I'll be working on the 'Map" tab soon as well.  This is going to be a great resource for folks who want to take a day and visit numerous shops.  They will be laid out on a map with the shop's address and hours.

Thanks again for visiting and check back often.  Ashley is working hard on blog coding/linking and technical type stuff and I'm writing the content.  Together we hope to provide you with a great shop guide, lots of tips and maybe help you add to or start a new collection.
